Interesting Site

Any Harry Potter fans?

I found this site in the summer of 2003. It is very comprehensive and informative. There is also an excellent forum which is family-friendly, and there are lots of interesting discussions there.

Time's Paradox

Opening Credits

I must say that first of all, I am not very computer literate! Hence, if anyone can tell me how to put pictures up, I would greatly appreciate it.

My name is Katherine, or any nickname thereof (Kat, Kate, Katia, etc.). I am from Regina, Saskatchewan, the best city ever built on an old swamp, and I spent two years less the summers at Acadia University in Nova Scotia before finding myself here in Victoria. Where I will be in two years time, only God knows.

Here, I'm currently a student, studying History and Russian Studies. I absolutely love history, and it works its way into so many things that it is truly amazing. Some people think it is a worthless subject, but just about everything relies on it. History connects us with the past and can help us with the future.

Time is also an interesting thing. I have six calendars: four for the pictures, one for the quotes, and one to remind me about Church seasons. Then there's my daytimer...

I also love writing. Not essays, though -- my specialty is fiction. Poetry, prose, plays...I've done them all, to varying degrees of success.

Religion is also very important to me. After much searching, I have finally committed myself to becoming an Orthodox Christian. I am so very glad that I came to Victoria -- God has brought me here for a reason. (Before, I was an Anglican who was teetering on the brink of becoming Catholic.) For years, through my interesting in history and in Russia, I have been drawn to Orthodoxy. Everything feels right about it. Glory to God indeed.
